A financial tool for commercial property owners to obtain low-cost, long-term financing for energy efficiency, renewable energy and water conservation projects. 

What does this funding get me?

Low-cost, long-term financing for energy efficiency, renewable energy and water conservation projects.

Am I eligible?

Commercial property owners in participating Pennsylvania counties are eligible. 

How can I access the money?

Register with the IRS to notify them you will be claiming the direct pay credits. 

Funding to create building, training, and assessment centers for energy efficiency workers.

What does this funding get me?

$10 million in competitive grants are available to establish centers to educate and train students and professionals to deploy modern building technologies to small businesses and schools. 

Am I eligible?

BTACs will fund institutions of higher education, like community colleges and universities.

How can I access the money?

The 2023 awardees have already been announced, but stay tuned for more information about the next potential round of funding.

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) uses funds to invest in the Region’s economic and community development through grants.

What does this funding get me?

Funds vary per year depending on availability. In Fiscal Year 2021, Congress appropriated $180 million for the ARC.

Am I eligible?

ARC awards program grants to state and local agencies and governmental entities, local governing boards, and nonprofit organizations.

How can I access the money?

All ARC grant applicants must have an active system in SAM, or the System of Award Management

Competitive, 3-year grants to states, municipalities, and community-based nonprofit organizations available for financial and technical assistance to address clean air and climate pollution in disadvantaged communities. 

What does this funding get me?

  • Mitigating climate and health risks from factors such as extreme heat
  • Reducing indoor toxics and indoor air pollution.

Funding for states to develop and implement a state program that provides training and education to energy efficiency contractors.

What does this funding get me?

This program makes $200 million available to state energy offices to train, test, and certify residential energy efficiency and electrification contractors. 

Am I eligible?

Funding is available for contractors. 

How can I access the money?

To access formula funds, states will determine their residential energy efficiency and electrification workforce needs and then submit an application that meets the needs of these workers and their communities.

Funding to plant and maintain trees and create green spaces in urban communities and neighborhoods in greatest need.

What does this funding get me?

Projects to plant and maintain trees, expand tree canopy, increase access to nature, and mitigate extreme heat, while developing a new workforce. 

Am I eligible?

Community-based organizations, state and local agencies, public colleges and universities, and nonprofits may apply.

How can I access the money?

More information will be released about accessing the funds. Eligible and interested parties should contact the Grid Deployment Office.
